The practice offers a private billing system, with Medicare rebates applying to most services. Practice fees are based on the length and complexity of the consultation.

We ask that ALL accounts are paid at the time of consultation. We accept cash, credit card (except American Express) and EFTPOS payments.
Consultation costs for WorkCover and Commcare patients are not reimbursed by Medicare. Invoices are to be paid at time of consultation and can be submitted to your employer, WorkCover or Commcare for reimbursement. Once a claim number has been issued, we can invoice WorkCover or Commcare directly.
Insurance or solicitor reports and medicals for the purpose of insurance, wok or travel cannot be claimed through Medicare.
Patients may leave messages with reception staff and doctors will endeavour to return these calls as soon as possible. Please note, this may not be until the end of the day or the next day. Please let staff know if it is an urgent query. If you need your matter attended to as soon as possible an appointment needs to be made with a doctor.
Medical requests and bookings cannot be made over email. Please call or fax our office, or book an appointment online.
Pathology specimens can either be collected in our practice, or you may be referred to the onsite QML. Pathology collection centre (open Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 2.30pm) or to the nearest provider of your choosing. Likewise, if you require X-rays or other imaging, you will be referred to one of the local CBD radiology groups, or to the nearest one of your choosing.
According to our practice policy, results cannot be given out over the phone, but instead will be discussed at a follow-up consultation. Our reception staff are unable to access your results or medical information.
Cervical Screening Test (CST) results are sent out in the mail and should be received within 21 days of collection. Please call us if you have not received your results by this time.
All new patients, medical concerns or requests for new medications require a consultation. Referrals or repeat prescriptions for past medication may be considered without consultation if you have attend the practice in the preceding three weeks and at the doctor’s discretion, however a fee will apply.
Request for referrals or repeat prescriptions will take a minimum of 48 hours. Please book a consultation if your request needs to be attended to as soon as possible.
A reminder system is in place for cervical screening tests and important follow-up tests and reviews. It is our policy to automatically enrol patients in this system, unless otherwise requested.
When you make your booking, please let reception staff know you have received a recall phone call, letter or SMS.
If you have feedback in relation to your medical treatment or our service, please discuss this with one of our doctors or our practice manager, so we can investigate and address the matter appropriately.
For medical emergencies, such as chest pain, severe asthma attack and stroke, ring 000.
For serious medical conditions, such as concussion and severe abdominal pains, visit your nearest casualty department.

Children can go to the casualty department at your closest hospital. Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in South Brisbane is Brisbane’s only dedicated children’s emergency.
